Ultima Linux x86 Edition is the most commonly used version of Ultima Linux, as well as the first one developed. Up until Ultima Linux 8.1 Beta it was also the only port available.

The x86 edition runs on all 32-bit Intel and AMD systems, as well as certain 64-bit platforms (albeit in 32-bit "compatibility mode"). Users who want full 64-bit performance should consider using the AMD64 edition.

These requirements are for the full installed version, LiveCD requirements may differ.

• 32-bit Intel or AMD processor; AMD recommended
• 128MB memory recommended
• 4.5GB hard disk space for complete installation
• High-speed Internet connection recommended
