Ultima-artwork

ultima-artwork is the system artwork package for Ultima Linux. It sets up various defaults for visual appearance, desktop themes, etc., as well as other (primarily cosmetic) changes such as adding Ultima Linux-specific links to the Firefox bookmarks bar. It also customizes a few other settings, such as tabbed browsing in Konqueror, so that they work as expected "out of the box".

Because the majority of ultima-artwork changes are for the KDE desktop, it is included in the KDE series. Note that various other artwork files, such as the GRUB menu backgrounds in newer Ultima releases, are packaged separately from ultima-artwork.

While ultima-artwork is one of the larger and more important customizations in Ultima Linux, it is not the only one. For example, various packages such as udev, cdrtools, and cdrdao have been patched to make CD burning work directly after installation. A large number of defaults – such as support for just about every known video format in MPlayer – are not customizations at all, but rather the default behavior of those programs.
