Contacting the Developers

IMPORTANT: This is NOT the place to ask for support!

All technical support for Ultima Linux is provided on the Support Forums. (In the future, however, we may be able to provide links to professional third-party services.) Because we have limited developer time and manpower, e-mails sent for support requests will generally be ignored; on the other hand, posting to the forums allows for others to help solve your problem. Additionally, there may even be an answer already, in the case of common problems (or likewise, if your particular problem is the first case, it may help others later yet.)

The forums do not require registration to post, and if anonymity is necessary, can be accessed through a proxy such as Tor. You generally should not need to e-mail the developers unless (a) the forums are unavailable; (b) absolute confidentiality is required for the matter; or (c) you have been specifically instructed by a reputable authority – that is, a Demigod or one of the developers themselves – to do so.

The preferred method of contacting the Ultima developers is through the generic contact e-mail, <info@ultimalinux.com>. This address should be used for most inquiries, including availability of download mirrors; requests to use Ultima Linux trademarks, or reporting of unauthorized use; and miscellaneous questions not involving technical support.

Martin Ultima may be contacted directly at <multima@ultimalinux.com>, or through his private e-mail at <multima@ultimapcs.dyndns.org>. For security, messages may be encrypted using his PGP public key (which should be valid for either address). It is generally a good idea to contact him directly for technical matters, including matters involving the Ultima Linux source code or build scripts.
